The Female Libido

The decreasing female libido is becoming one of the most common sexual problems nowadays. Most of the time, it is the woman and her partner’s relationship quality affecting libido that is the problem. The loss of female libido or sexual desire only means one thing: decreased intimacy for women and their partners.
It seems that a woman’s libido is more linked to the type or quality of relationship she has, as compared to the male libido. If this is the case, all that a woman needs to do is to regain intimacy with her partner. An increased sexual desire among women also increases the confidence of her male partner. Regular sex is likewise one of the ways for couples to bond with each other, especially since it helps build a stronger relationship.
The quality of the relationship a woman has with her partner is only one of the major reasons behind the decline in her sexual drive. The loss of libido may be brought about by several other factors.
As we all know, the mind and body are often always linked. A number of physical problems might manifest themselves due to several distresses that concern the brain. As more women become busier with their everyday lives, experiencing a significant decrease in libido at some point of a female’s life has become a common physical and sexual problem.
A woman is more likely to experience a drop in her libido when she is currently experiencing high stress levels, when going through long periods without ample exercise, or if she does not follow proper diet and has lack of nutrition. A woman who has been through an experience that has caused her to gain a lower self-confidence is also likely to go through a stage where she will find herself less inclined to have sex.
Although a decrease in libido is not considered a major sexual problem, fixing it can bring in a number of positive results. Sex is a good thing for couples. Achieving an orgasm does good things for the body, emotionally and physically. After every orgasm, a person is able to release a chemical known as oxytocin. This hormone is known to regulate other hormones. Gaining sexual satisfaction can also do good things for both men and women. Some experts claim that it can dramatically lower a person’s stress levels and likewise normalizes his appetite for food. For women, attaining sexual satisfaction can decrease her chances of developing breast cancer and can also decrease the symptoms of PMS.
